President

Brian Whitney grew up in Atlanta and has always had a strong passion for health and wellness. He started his career with Corporate Health Unlimited where he interned during his college years. Following his graduation from the University of Alabama, where he double majored in Business Management and Marketing, he continued his career with our company and worked with our sister division, Corporate Events Unlimited (CEU). During his time with CEU he helped find strategic ways for our two divisions to work together.

After working his way from an Event Specialist to an Account Executive, Brian now serves as the Vice President of Business Development for both Corporate Health Unlimited and Corporate Events Unlimited. He is responsible for the strategic growth of our two divisions and is fully involved with all aspects of our company including sales, marketing, programming, operations, accounting, and HR.

His passion for improving the health and wellness of our clients and community, along with his vision for the future of our company, makes him an in-valuable asset to our Leadership Team.

Brian is actively involved with his church as well as the community. His passions outside of work include CrossFit, golf, Atlanta sports, and traveling. Brian lives in Smyrna, GA with his wife, Savannah, who is a nurse at a local hospital and shares his same passion for health and wellness.

Laura Clark is committed to providing companies with solutions for getting and keeping their workplaces healthy. With more than 25 years of experience and leadership in the health and wellness industry, she leads the Corporate Sports Unlimited, Inc. (CSU) Health and Wellness Division as Vice-President.

Laura joined CSU in 2014 as Regional Manager, where she heas helped build and expand national accounts, implemented high-touch customer service initiatives and strengthened relationships with existing clients in an ever-changing, highly competitive marketplace.

Throughout her career, Laura has set and achieved high performance standards for herself and her team. At Hyatt Hotels, she completed corporate management training and earned the prestigious Horatio Alger award. From there, she spent 15 years with Wellbridge in various leadership and management positions, serving the upscale fitness center market. During this time, she was recognized for building top-producing sales teams, managing large-scale operations and implementing client-centric customer solutions. As Regional Sales Manager at Tennis Corporation of America (TCA), her commitment to successful management, operations and growth earned her the President’s Award.

Chan Snipes joined Corporate Sports Unlimited, Inc. in 1994, where he has cultivated more than 20 years of health and wellness expertise. Since then, he has served in almost every fitness center role within the company and today serves as Senior Regional Manager, providing leadership, support and growth opportunities for his team. Because he has been on the front lines and worked his way up, Chan truly knows all the ins-and-outs and what it takes to initiate, develop, build and implement successful and impactful corporate fitness solutions.

Chan’s career at CSU began as an Exercise Specialist, quickly growing to Supervisor and Managerial positions. As General Manager of the Blomeyer Health Fitness Center at Emory, his commitment to excellence and leadership skills earned “Facility of the Year” for seven of his nine-year tenure.

As Regional Manager of CSU’s Health and Wellness Division, Chan has assisted with the opening and renovations of 15 facilities, provided account management for multiple corporate clients and spearheaded development of custom wellness programs for national clients. His expertise, attention to detail and commitment to quality along with his exceptional wellness background has enabled him to consistently improve programs and club performance. His focus is on growth and quality service for both clients and members alike.

Chan’s knowledge, work ethic, loyalty and tenure with CSU combined with his passion for excellence in programming and client services makes him an invaluable asset and critical part of the executive team.

Born and bred in Goffstown, New Hampshire, this New England native attended Southern New Hampshire University where he earned a B.S. in Accounting and completed his MBA. With a knack for numbers and a talent for leadership, Brian dedicated his early career to the City of Manchester (Housing Authority and Water Department) before diving into the private school sector where he served as Chief Finance and Operations Officer.

Always a strategist focused on growth, Brian was persuaded to make his way down south to serve as Director of Operations. A natural leader and all-around likable guy, he brings structure, a quirky Northern accent and offbeat humor to the executive mix. His focus is on infrastructure, facilities, growth and management of the production team.

Brian currently serves as the Vice President for our sister division, Corporate Events Unlimited. In addition to leading our events division, he assists handles our IT and assists in our Accounting Department.

John Campbell has many years of experience in on-site, remote and multi-unit management of fitness centers.

He joined Corporate Health Unlimited in 2018 from Peak Fitness Solutions, a management service company primarily dealing in operations management of Snap Fitness franchises. John's focus and passion for the operational side of fitness centers makes him a great asset for our CHU team.

John graduated with a BBA in Business Administration, Managerial Sciences from Georgia State University.

Shana has been a constant key player with Corporate Health Unlimited since she began her time with us in May 2007 as a Wellness Coordinator for Cox Enterprises and quickly found her place as an Assistant Manager at Blomeyer Fitness Center at Emory University in October 2007. She continued as Assistant Manager for four years when she was promoted to General Manager. In 2015 Shana sought out new challenges within the role of Director of Group Fitness, developing the program for Corporate Health Unlimited. With great success, she began pursuing the development of Massage in 2017. Both programs are thriving through her leadership.

Shana came to us with a B.S. in Sports Management with a focus on Health & Fitness. Within her 12-year tenure with Corporate Health Unlimiterd and over 20 years’ experience in the Health and Wellness field, she has also served as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.

Shana is dedicated to CHU and has excelled in team management and program development. She exudes her care of others through her passion for fitness. Shana is well-respected by her team as well as members within the fitness centers we manage.

She graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She is an American Muscle and Fitness Sports Nutritionist and ACSM Personal Trainer. Also certified in Women’s Self Defense through Cummings Combat Sambo. Movement and Food are her main priorities. She loves to move in dynamic ways with workouts: Kettlebells, gymnastics, Animal Flow, Barbells, kickboxing, and bike riding. Abeba, who is originally from Ethiopia, joined Corporate Sports Unlimited, Inc. in 1998. Prior to joining CSU, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Addis Ababa University, in Ethiopia.  Following her BSc, she joined the Science and Technology Commission of Ethiopia as a national science and technology research expert for 8 years and then went on to earn her master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy from Lund University in Sweden. During her time in Ethiopia she played a crucial role in identifying and prioritizing research and development activities.  Eventually Abeba moved to Atlanta, Georgia to study Accounting and joined our CSU team in 1998. Her role with CSU began as an Accounts Payable Associate, where she was then promoted to an Accounting Supervisor and currently serves as an Accounting Manager.

Abeba said she “enjoys working for a company that focuses on Health & Wellness because it is rewarding to play a role in improving our client’s health”. Abeba’s accounting skills, loyalty, and tenure with CSU, combined with her work ethic and easy-going personality have made helped make CSU a better company for the 22+ years she has been with us.

Don Whitney serves as Founder, President and CEO of Corporate Sports Unlimited, Incorporated; Corporate Events Unlimited, Corporate Health Unlimited, The "WE Event Series" and the World Children’s Center.

Corporate Events Unlimited produces team building and special events for the nation’s leading companies. Recognized internationally for their “Battle of the Superstars” and their unique “Employee Appreciation Days,” Corporate Events Unlimited, Inc. also produces Tenant Appreciation Days, and Company Picnics. Corporate Events Unlimited, Inc. provides competitive team building games and special events which foster team spirit, camaraderie and fellowship to such clients as IBM, AT&T, Bristol Myers-Squibb, Coca-Cola, General Electric, Accenture, Pepsico and Xerox, serving over 2,000,000 people annually.

In addition, Corporate Health Unlimited offers complete design, consulting and management  services to executive health clubs and spas in the finest office parks, public and private world headquarters, resorts and hotels in the country. Don is also the Founder and President of the WE Event Series (formerly The U.S 10K Classic), a local, national and international sporting event, held each Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. This road racing event (walkers, runners, inline skaters, cyclists and wheelchair athletes) brings over 200,000 people together annually from around the world. A Georgia 501(c)(3) non-profit event that benefits (100% of the proceeds) children’s charities.  The U.S. 10K Classic was developed as a vehicle to bring awareness and funding to children’s charities, and for the development of the World’s Children Center, a planned community which will accommodate 800+ homeless, orphaned, foster and/or neglected children from Georgia, the United States, and the World. Since 1994 over $5 million dollars has been donated to 30 local charities that assist children at risk.

Whitney, a 10-year veteran tennis professional, worked with Sports Illustrated for RockResort Properties at the Dorado and Cerromar Beach Hotels in the Caribbean.

Don has been or is a member of and is active in such organizations as:  Society of Incentive Travel Executives, Meeting Planners International, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Cobb County Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Club, Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, SHRM Atlanta (Society for Human Resource Management), and has served on the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement, Special Olympics, The U.S. 10K Classic and the World Children’s Center. He is presently on the Board of Directors for the WE Event Series at the World Children’s Center. He has been actively involved with Compassion International, World Vision and Christian Children’s Fund since 1976.  Don was honored by the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the “1995 Small Business Person of the Year” and was a finalist in the 2002 Business Division for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. Don was selected as “Citizen of the Year” for the City of Smyrna, Georgia in 2010.

Don is married to Cathy (Executive VP/CSU) for 31 years and they have twin sons, Brian and Kevin. Brian serves as Vice President of Business Development for CSU/CHU and CEU and Kevin is an Associate for Genesis Capital in Atlanta.

Cathy Whitney grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and received her B. A. from Emory University in Political Science.  She spent 15 years with Norrell Corporation, a staffing service firm, with 250 offices and $800 million in sales.  She began in field offices with positions including Region Operations manager, then moved to the Corporate offices in Atlanta with roles including Operations Training Manager (for all operations associates in the U. S. and Canada), Marketing Manager, Quality and Process Improvement Manager, and Manager of Human Resources.

During the Atlanta 1996 Olympics, Cathy worked with Randstad, an Olympic and Paralympic Sponsor, to develop a hiring system for employees with disabilities. In 1997, Cathy joined Corporate Sports Unlimited as the Executive Vice President and Board Member for the U. S. 10K Classic and serves on the World Children’s Center Academy Board of Directors.

Cathy is married, with two sons and lives in a suburb outside of Atlanta.

  • Executive in Residence. Engaged in helping the college achieve its Vision 2020 objectives, working with faculty, students, staff and the university. Primary projects include mentoring, strategic partnerships, teaching soft skills, the Executive in Residence program, alumni relations, and providing ideas and solutions to help grow RCB.

 

1985-2015:  American City Business Journals, Charlotte, NC

  • President & Publisher, Atlanta Business Chronicle. During 30 years with American City, was responsible for the local staff of 70, all financials, editorial, sales, circulation and production departments.

Atlanta Business Chronicle has won numerous national editorial awards, including two Gerald Loeb awards, the equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize in business journalism. The Chronicle is American City’s  largest business journal, based on circulation and revenue. The Chronicle has won more company achievement awards than any other business journal in the country.

 

  • Vice President & Chief Strategic Officer.  Responsible for the corporate strategic direction of the digital, print and events media company that includes 40 business journal markets throughout the country. Also responsible for corporate research, product development, and marketing.

Prior corporate responsibilities include Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President/Group Publisher. As CMO, established the company’s corporate research department--responsible for the on-going quantitative and qualitative analysis of American business.  As Group Publisher, had overall management responsibility for 20 business journals and over 600 employees.

American City acquired The Sporting News (America’s oldest sports publishing company) in 2006. Served as Publisher for the first three years of ownership, seeing it through reorganization, redesign and digital transformation.

 

 

2011-2015:  Mercer University, Stetson School of Business, Atlanta Campus

Adjunct Professor. Taught graduate classes (at night) in Business Communications, focused on soft skills, for the pure enjoyment of working with students.

The positive response received from the students and the school’s leadership led to make the full-time transition to education and RCB in 2015.

 

1983-1985: J. Walter Thompson, Atlanta, GA

Vice President/ Account Group Director.  Returned to the advertising agency to manage marketing for BellSouth Mobility’s launch of the cellular telephone, Six Flags Over Georgia, Dunlop Golf and Tennis, and Avail, the state’s first automated teller machine network. Also responsible for the agency’s new business development team.

 

1980-1983: D’Arcy MacManus & Masius, Los Angeles, CA and Atlanta, GA

Vice President/Director of Account Service.  Account management responsibility included the global launch of The Weather Channel. Worked extensively on Kenwood Electronics, Westclox/Seth Thomas Clocks, Flav-O-Rich Dairies, KABC Radio and U.S. Capital Corporation.

 

1977-1980: J. Walter Thompson, Los Angeles, CA

Account Supervisor.  Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the national Kawasaki Motors account.  Worked on the iconic “Kawasaki Lets the Good Times Roll” advertising campaign. Worked on the new product launch of the Jet Ski, helping establish the personal watercraft industry. Our team’s work on Kawasaki received two national Effie Awards for marketing effectiveness and seven Clio Awards for creativity. Supervised Allstate Savings, the financial division of Sears.

 

1976-1977: Kawasaki Motors, Atlanta, GA

Advertising Manager, East Coast.  Responsible for advertising and promotion during the early introduction of Japanese motorcycles to the American public in a 20-state area.  Was given the opportunity to work with global headquarters in Japan as well as the establishment of Kawasaki’s first manufacturing plant in the United States (in Lincoln, Nebraska). Given Kawasaki’s success, and the desire to be in a senior advertising leadership position, switched from the client side of the business to supervising the Kawasaki account for J. Walter Thompson in Los Angeles.

 

1974-1976: The Omni Group, Atlanta, GA

Assistant Marketing Director. After graduation from Georgia State, joined the sports ownership group of the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Flames and The Omni arena. Responsible for the team publications, event advertising and promotion, broadcast coordination, and in-arena activities.

 

1970-1974: The Atlanta Journal, Atlanta, GA

 Junior Sports Reporter.  Started as a summer intern in the sports department which included working for sports journalism legends Furman Bisher and Lewis Grizzard. After the summer, I was hired full-time and continued my education at Georgia State at night. At the AJC, was given the opportunity to write, edit copy, and learn page design.

General Managers

Our General Managers are business-minded professionals who oversee every aspect of the fitness center. From customer interactions and organization to our group fitness program and facility cleanliness, the GM is responsible for overseeing daily operations. Supervising, controlling, and directing all activities, member services and health promotions for the fitness center are all a part of their responsibility. Their role is to ensure that the member experience exceeds your expectations.
 

Wellness Associates & Coordinators

Our Wellness team are fitness enthusiasts with an educational background in Exercise Science/Kinesiology. They are passionate about helping individuals reach their wellness goals and they help plan and develop customized wellness programs specific to your fitness center population.
 

Guest Services Associates

Customer services specialists who are friendly and eager to help members get the information and/or service they need to make their workout enjoyable. Receives and directs incoming phone calls, guests, and members to the appropriate persons when necessary. They will assist with the cleaning of equipment as well as keeping the locker rooms prepped for members. They provide our members a welcoming smile on each and every visit.

Registered Dietitians

Our Licensed Registered Dietitians provide onsite and virtual nutrition counseling services. Through our Nutrition Care Model we provide for the needs of an ever-changing community and solutions to change lives.
 

Personal Trainers

Our experienced and nationally certified personal trainers have the knowledge and expertise of the human body and its reaction to exercise. They create customized plans to help their clients meet personalized fitness goals. They have the ability to design and effectively execute an exercise program for all clients, no matter the fitness level or ability. They encompass the desire to help clients reach their fitness goals and have the ability to motivate others with encouragement and uplifting words. They have a dedication to self-improvement, self-awareness, continuous learning and personal growth.

Our group fitness instructors are nationally certified, and their responsibility is to instruct group fitness classes in accordance with CHU standards and class descriptions. They provide an effective group fitness class while encouraging members and guests to reach their personal fitness goals.
 

Outreach Coordinators

Our Outreach Coordinators are responsible for creating, directing and supervising all wellness activities and health promotion programs for both the facility, and outside the facility walls. They will help facilitate strategic planning and implementation of the overall health and wellness goals and objectives, including stretch breaks, team building activities, lunch and learns, etc. They will create, develop and attend outreach events while increasing an overall awareness of the health and fitness program, facility, and client goals and objectives.

Massage Therapists

Our Massage Therapists work to improve our client’s well-being by relieving pain, soothing injuries, increasing relaxation and improving circulation.
